Developed from rapid life drawing studies based on describing movement, this work is a depiction of the wounded masculine archetype. He has used his charms to convince the feline energy to gift him her heart. He stores it inside of his chest, nest to his own heart. He intends and means to keep the  feminine heart safe, but his own deep wounds are in fact triggered by his own vulnerability and by the power of his feelings. Having not developed the emotional maturity to properly safeguard the two hearts from harm, he becomes more focussed on the conquest itself, of having captured the heart, than he does on the obligation of keeping the heart safe. The feminine energy, feeling like a trophy, is diminished of character under his gaze. He takes her heart and parades it around like a conquest, showing potential other suitors that he is superior for having had captured it.
