EXHIBITIONS
AT PWB

Your work. Your walls. A month in Byron Bay.

Pretty Weird Blueberry welcomes exhibition proposals from artists interested in presenting a solo or small-group exhibition in our gallery at The Butter Factory in the heart of Byron Bay.

Our exhibition program gives artists the opportunity to take over the gallery walls for four weeks, presenting a cohesive body of work within a working fine-art gallery.

We are interested in exhibitions with a strong individual voice: painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and mixed-media work.

OPENING NIGHT

Every exhibition deserves a beginning.

Your exhibition includes a dedicated Friday evening opening timeslot at Pretty Weird Blueberry — an opportunity to introduce the work, meet visitors, invite collectors, friends and supporters, and celebrate the exhibition properly.

Artists are welcome to keep their opening simple, or drinks and catering packages can be arranged through PWB at an additional cost.

SALES

Artists retain 90% of the sale price of works sold during their exhibition.

Pretty Weird Blueberry retains a 10% commission on artwork sales to contribute towards gallery operating costs and the administration and processing of sales.

THE SPACE

Pretty Weird Blueberry is an intimate independent fine-art gallery within the historic Byron Butter Factory precinct on Jonson Street, Byron Bay.

The gallery combines clean exhibition walls, dramatic black architectural elements and our unmistakable blueberry-blue floor.

PWB remains an active gallery throughout each exhibition. Visitors encounter your work within the wider life of the gallery of selected Australian art and our changing Cultural Program.

EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

Artists are invited to send us a short proposal including a selection of recent work, a brief artist biography or CV, an outline of the proposed exhibition, approximate number and dimensions of works, and preferred exhibition dates.

We are particularly interested in cohesive bodies of work that make beautiful and intelligent use of the space.
